Group Info

We're a group dedicated to the primitive, lesser-known creatures from the Paleozoic to the early Mesozoic era. This includes animals such as trilobites, synapsids, early fish and amphibians, and primitive dinosaurs.

**The time period this group focuses on is the Cambrian (approx. 542 million years ago) to the end of the early Jurassic (Toarcian, approx 175 million years ago).**

If you are unsure whether your submission fits the group focus, look up the names of the animals featured in your work. Wikipedia is an excellent resource, and typically lists the age extinct animals lived in within articles.

Just to revisit something that still continues to be an issue here, if you find that your submissions are getting rejected for the group it's most likely because it falls outside the timeframe covered by this group.   From the group description : " **The time period this group focuses on is the Cambrian (approx. 542 million years ago) to the end of the early Jurassic (Toarcian, approx 175 million years ago).** "
This is not a general "dinosaur art" group and so drawings featuring things like T-rex and Dromaeosaurs etc.. will generally be rejected unless they are deemed fitting for the "comics and humor" section, where standards are relaxed.

whoops, my Cambrian Mat picture accidentally ended up in the Triassic dinosaur gallery. It should be in the invertebrate gallery. Sorry about that.

I'm trying to submit some of my works, but I'm able to choose only "primitive dinosaurs", "acquatic life", "synapsids" and "speculative" folders.

It's set up so only administrators can choose art for the featured folder. :)
